e-Commerce Product Manager



We are seeking an experienced e-commerce product Manager with a strong background in Shopify to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing e-commerce platforms, with a focus on driving growth, optimizing user experience, and maximizing revenue. The role requires a deep understanding of Shopify's capabilities and a proven track record of successfully managing e-commerce projects from conception to implementation.  

This is a full-time position reporting to the VP of Product, and you can be located anywhere in the US.

Roadmap and Backlog Ownership: Develop and maintain a comprehensive cross-functional product management roadmap and backlog, aligning initiatives with business objectives, consumer needs, resource availability, and level of effort.

Requirements Definition: Define clear digital requirements and business rules to guide the development of new features, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and both contractor and consumer needs.

Prioritization: Prioritize initiatives within the roadmap based on strategic importance, potential impact, and alignment with business goals, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and timely delivery of key milestones.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics tools to conduct detailed performance analysis, identifying trends and insights to inform tactical decisions aimed at improving key metrics such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer retention.

A/B Testing and Experimentation: Develop and execute A/B tests and other experiments to optimize website elements, including product pages, checkout process, and promotional offers, leveraging Shopify's built-in features and third-party apps.

App Integration and Customization: Evaluate, implement, and manage Shopify apps and integrations to enhance site functionality, improve operational efficiency, and support tactical initiatives, such as upselling, cross-selling, and personalized recommendations.

Tactical Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to execute tactical marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media promotions, and targeted advertising, leveraging Shopify's marketing tools and integrations.

Agile Methodology: Manage the product management process using agile methodology, from initial strategy and ideation through discovery, build, launch, and ongoing optimization, fostering agility, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

Risk Monitoring: Monitor project health and identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery or outcomes, proactively addressing them to mitigate negative impacts and maintain momentum.

Documentation: Document key discussion points, outcomes, and action items from meetings with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. 


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Management, or related fields 
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in tactical ecommerce product management, with a proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Tools: Proficient in Shopify platform management, including tactical administration of Roadmunk, Azure DevOps, and other development management tools. 
  • Data analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar platforms.

  • Exceptional Organizational Skills: Possesses exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and critical thinking capabilities to effectively manage multiple priorities and complex projects within the ecommerce landscape. 
  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving business objectives, requirements, and feedback, employing innovative strategies to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
