WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Spearhead the management of 4 to 5 agile pods, ensuring maximum velocity and efficiency.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to all team members, enhancing their skills in the agile scrum process.
  • Develop strategies for standardizing processes across all pods while maintaining each team's unique dynamics.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, bringing visibility to the work and progress of each pod.
  • Implement innovative approaches to improve team morale and motivation.
  • Facilitate strong collaboration between product and engineering teams, bridging gaps and aligning objectives.
  • Drive the adoption of agile best practices throughout the organization.
  • Encourage engineering teams to take greater ownership and show a higher level of commitment to projects.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Address and resolve impediments that affect the team's performance or project delivery.
  • Organize and lead scrum ceremonies, including planning sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes and deliverables.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of agile processes and adjust as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical departments to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals.
  • Guide teams in risk management and decision-making processes.
  • Advocate for a balanced approach that aligns technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of team dynamics and individual performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in agile methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Sr. Scrum Master or Technical Project Manager in a software development environment.
  • Strong expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with certifications such as CSM or PSM being highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams to success.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring teams on agile practices.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • A keen sense of ownership, drive, and an entrepreneurial spirit to drive continuous improvement.
